The Sweep Generator - Instructions

Getting Started

You MUST enter your username and password exactly as provided - use Uppercase and Lowercase where appropriate.

If you lose your PASSWORD, you can retrieve it via the Lost Password button on the Main Menu at www.thesweepgenerator.com
You must enter the email address used on registering to retrieve your password.

Your account will be current only for the 2020 Melbourne Cup. After the running of the race, all accounts will be de-activated.

The final Melbourne Cup field will not be declared by the VRC until late Saturday night - 31st October. Therefore the Sweep Generator will not be usable for the 2020 Melbourne Cup until Sunday 1st November. However, you can use the Sweep Generator on a trial basis up until then.
Previous Melbourne Cup runners will be generated for the trial Sweeps.

After logging in, all you need to do is enter your entrant names into the boxes provided, then enter your selected prizemoney. Then give your Sweep a name - each sweep has to have a unique name.

You do not have to enter the horses names - these will have already been entered into the computer by the programme.

The computer will assign a horse at random to each entrant - different sweep, different random order.

When you have filled in the required details, click on Generate A Sweep and a printable page will be produced listing the 2020 Melbourne Cup field with the corresponding entrant names.

Each Sweep will be stored in a database for your re-call at any time. Just click on View My Sweeps.

You may produce as many sweeps as you like.
